i really doubt if u have to worry about anything as long as ur visa is correct then u have nothing to worry too much about the petitioner's name. usa immigration will be more concern about u than ur petitioner, if u can change it then do it but in my opinion it will not affect anything, good luck. abby n sheryl

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

I think it will be ok. I know your fiance personally, and he prefers to be called Ron anyway. The name Ronnie always bothered him. When his mom would wake him up for school, she would say it like "Raw-nee" and since that time, he has had bad knees - all because of a name.

Hehe.

Lab ya!

Call the embassy and ask them if its a problem.

Otherwise accept the name change and run with it...

If you ever get questioned on it plead ignorance....

Its always easer to ask forgivness that to ask for permission.
