HPV Vaccination

Hi all

I have a question... I've gotten my 2 shots of HPV Gardasil Vaccine and I'm due for the last shot of the vaccine in 2 weeks time... I am still in my home country, Malaysia... I'll be flying into the US next month. I just realised that I lost the photocopied version of the vaccination record, which states my 2nd dosage of the vaccine... the original vaccination record should be in the Packet where I will be giving it to the officer at POE. So I was wondering if I could ask the Physician to write an official letter stating that I have completed the 3 dosages after taking the 3rd dosage??? Would the officers accept this?

Also, I have another question... is the HPV vaccine really compulsory?? or is it that I have my 1st dosage done then it's fine?? Could someone please enlighten me? I am quite skeptical with the vaccine now that the news doesn't spread too much of good vibes on it.

THe vaccine IS compulsory for females under 27 BUT I believe you only need the first shot as you have to wait 4-6 months to take the rest, and people often have their visas and have traveled by then. Is it different in Malaysia? In the UK, you only need the first shot for AOS because of the 4-6 month gap.

In your case, since I assume you're within the time frame for the last shot, I would recommend getting it and then getting the physician to sign off saying you've had the entire course, so you can send that in with AOS (if it was done after your medical exam).

Oooh... thanks I have decided to go on with the 3rd dosage of the HPV vaccination to avoid any confusion/discrepancies with the USCIS when I arrive there... I've called up the clinic and the should have a copy of my vaccination records... so yay!
