To those who would like to acquire Cenomar, Please be informed that it will take 2 weeks before you can have the certificate.

To my surprise, I was like, uh? 2 weeks?... I kinda have to have it on my interview.

I just hope that the consul wouldn't be asking that from me.

Sis, CENOMAR and CENMAR, are just the same.

I spoke with a lady there at NSO muntinlupa and we cant seem to understand with each other.

When I spoke with my Aunt who works at the civil registry of Muntinlupa, she explained to me that Cenomar and Cenmar are the same..

From what she said, Cenomar is a certification that you didn't have previous marriage before your marriage.

The lady in NSO said CENOMAR is Certificate of No Marriage while CEMAR is Certificate of Marriage. I requested for CEMAR few days ago. I heard it's needed on interview.

Now, I'm starting to freak out again. :girlwerewolf2xn:

Sheryl, Abby's wife was not asked though about the cenomar..

Fingers crossed here that I will not be ask too, because if that would be the case then I'll just submit it after I have the Cenomar at hand.

to Luvtech

They are absolutely two different things. One is Certificate of Marriage and the other one is certificate of NO marriage.

You better have it even if you don't need it than need it and don't have it. Good luck.

As long as you have the Authenticated Marriage Certificate from NSO, there's no need to freak out. But if I were you, I would request CEMAR just to be safe.

Wait,

Why would they ask you for a Cenomar? That's something which is required for K-1 Visa applicants as they nave to be able to get married in order to make good on the whole "Get married within 90 days of entry".

Posted (edited)

I already requested a CENOMAR yesterday together with my BC ad MC, I will come back today to pick the BC and MC up.

Would it make any difference if I go to main NSO to see if it is much quicker there?

From what I understand, those K-1 applicants need to get the CENOMAR and CEMAR for K-3 and CR-1/IR-1 applicants.
