Hey

I'm a Canadian who married an American citizen last December. I did not go on a visa to do this and after i got married to him in the states I went back to canada to go to school. I also went to visit him over the summer and we wanted to try and do the process then but didnt know how, since i would be returning to school in the fall. Now that Im back in school we want to make sure we do everything right. I don't want there to be any chances we might do something wrong and then i cant be with him for like 5 yrs or something.

Im just worried because of all these visas you have to apply in the country that you got married and i got married to my husband in the states. I don't know what to do right now.

I'm wondering if I still can apply for a visa to go to the states and live there and how to go about it. I also want to know how long it would take for me to do any of this.

Please someone help me out; I have been stressing on this issue every night that I am away from the one I love.

CR-1 for sure. It's the quickest route to a green card, and cheaper (and the superior visa). I am also assuming you are from East of Manitoba?!?!?

It will take about 8-10 months to complete the process

Good luck.
