What visa are you applying for? Surely if you have already returned to the US, you have permanent residency already and thus don't need the marriage cert anymore?

We got married in Ireland too, our marriage cert is in both Irish and English. Are you sure yours is Irish only? If so, the easiest thing to do if you are still in Ireland is to get one of the official dual language ones from the Central Registry Office in Dublin (in fact, I think they even send them abroad for an extra fee).

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Hey,

I am a yank and wife is irish we got married in ireland and lived there for 2 years. our marriage cert is from ireland. just wondering if an ireland marriage cert is accepted in the usa. thanks mike

If the relevant parts are in Eglish then yes, it will be accepted. We needed ours for a couple of things after we immigrated and it was no problem.
