I missed my interview as I did not receive a notice - I emailed them as per the generic response they ask to be notified if it has been more than 5 months and I did and that is how I found out that I missed the date. They put me back in the list in Apr 09 and I got rescheduled for Aug 09 and I only found out the new date via email as I did not receive the second notice in the mail. (I would email them once a month inquiring about the date) I requested that they send the interview letter to me and that is when I received it. They had some printing issues for a while there.

First take a deep breath.

One month and 22 days since your NOA2, I doubt very much if they have scheduled you for an interview yet.

When you emailed Montreal, did you put your case number in the subject line, be sure to. Also, when you email them, it's a good idea to make the email short and to the point (remember, they are busy). Something like:

Hello,

I received my notice of action on <date> and I am wondering if I have been scheduled for an interview yet.

Thank you,

<Your Name>

<Your case number>

<Your date of birth>

<Your address>

<Your phone number>

good luck

1 month and 22 days from when you sent the package back to Montreal... that's sometime in August? I sent mine in July 27, and there are others here who sent theirs in before you as well, and we've been collectively calling regularly and none of us have heard anything yet. So I would say to not worry, but as trailmix said, sending an effective email to Montreal and calling DoS can help you find out as soon as possible without missing it.

It's so darn stressful... I wouldn't assume you missed your interview date, not yet. but as INK said they will reschedule it. Either way it's not like all hope is lost, it's a matter of how long this thing is going to take.

Use the support here, too, it helps somewhat prevent me from feeling like I'm in a big black hole of the Unknown.

It's been almost 4 months since my NOA2 and I called yesterday and no interview date. Don't panic, it will come in time.

I want to clarify something and make sure I'm not missing something. I know for a fact I'm on a waiting list for an interview... so that's not in question.

I got NOA2 and P3 in May, but I sent back P3 in July. Long story. But my understanding is that the wait starts from sending back P3 -- or does the consulate throw everyone with an NOA2 on the waiting list and schedule them? Because I thought they'd only put us on a list to get scheduled if they actually received the K-1 application.

So any timeline graph that measures "time between NOA2 and interview" is kind of a weird and not-so-useful gauge of how long it should take. Some people send P3 back the instant they get it, some of us take longer.. I'm actually rooting through people's timelines and seeing when they sent back P3 in order to gauge how long it might take to hear about an interview, but that just seems to be a black hole of mystery with respect to MTL.

I have not figured out their method of assigning interviews. Might have something to do with our case numbers?

I also heard that it has nothing to do with NOA 2 its actually from packet 3 they start scheduling your interview

Thats what I've heard as well, in which case don't worry, theres a lot of us July people who still havent heard a date. Right now its taking about 4-5 months to get one.

I missed my interview too. No big deal, they will reschedule you. This happened to me 2 years ago and they were still taking calls and the lady rescheduled me for 3 weeks later.
Oh really?? I feel so relieved thank you so much :dance:

Thanks a lot, that really helps I think thats what I will do, email them once in a while to find out, just have a question how about your NOA2, didnt yours expire by the second interview date?
