Hi,

My husband had sent a I-130 to chicago lock box last friday but it came back with a reason that you did not write the name and address in form in the native language..has anybody gone through this? I also want to that my husband became citizen last thursday so will the back ground checks be omitted since it was done recently for him and we will receive NOA2 soon.

thank you in advance

No one can tell you when you will get your NOA-2. As I believe USCIS process applications without any bias towards GC holders and Citizens, its at NVC that a GC holder have to wait till their case has been assigned with a VISA number for further processing.

About background checks, most of the times its the background of intending immigrant (that's you in this case) is what is being checked more thoroughly than the petitioner.

well one of the member on this forum got NOA2 in 18 days coz he had recently got citizenship. So i was wondering if this how things work

No one really can tell you at what point you will get your NOA-2, when I was going through my VISA process, a few people from California Service center got their NOA-2 within 20 days time but most of the others got their in 120 days time, while some others got their more than 8 months later.

I wish you best but don't be disappointed if you don't receive your NOA-2 within 20 days time :)
