Going back to the original post...I personally would find that poster laughable and dumb amongst the inspirational and motivational things. It's like putting velveeta cheese in the same section as gourmet cheeses (talking specifically about the poster not about Obama as President). Maybe they wanted to add something funny or something for the kids. I think it's dumb. Also trying to make him something he isn't. Just because his skin is dark he is supposed to be like a rapper guy? Maybe another school has a pic of him with a mohawk and face piercings that says "Rock DC" or something, that would be dumb too. It's like when Jesus gets portrayed as whatever culture people are in LOL. Reggae Jesus, Blonde & blue eyed Jesus, Chinese Jesus?

Well, I had to follow the link to see what was up with it. Because (as you know with a viral world) things are not always as they first appear to be.

After thinking about it, I'm thinking it's kind of weird to us white folk. Or to regular middle class folk.

When someone goes into HIP HOP culture, and superficially shows their dress code I don't really get intimidated by that. However, I do get intimidated with their language skills. If their vocabulary is not about a 5th grade level, they have no respect period.
