I think VJ should add a feature wherein only people from the specific country indicated can access a thread since it is after all, a regional discussion. Some are welcome since they are beneficial to the topic but the nuisance comments really change the mood of the discussion so I wouldn't be surprised if this one closes soon.

RESPECT goes a long way and it reflects on your pesonality.

It's very touching to see that in times like this, Filipinos are really one bind. I have been watching the news all day and look how companies really do contribute and working hand and hand for the benefit of our brothers and sisters in the affected areas. Kudos for the Philippine air force, and police, together with all those volunteer and other sectors for working until the wee hours.

I am praying for a good weather this coming days so the water would subside soon. So that our kababayans can go back to their homes.

Not immediately I'm sure. Flood damaged cars take a lot of work depending on how bad they got it and these look to be pretty bad. The engines will be filled with water, electronics and fuel system - not to mention the damage to the interiors. It's likely that it would cost more to repair them than they're worth :( Tragic in Manila (Luzon) to say the least.

I would report her if I could but she's not my friend and it was her status message on FB. There's a group that's attempting to drive her out of the site though.

The typhoon was an unfortunate calamity and remarks like hers are uncalled for. She is being hounded by tons of people on all the social networking sites she's on and that's what she gets for opening her nasty mouth.

My Lady has Interview tomorrow at USE. She will travel from Commonwealth By taxi . Just talked to her she say it will be ok cuz sunny now . Big day i sure Hope and pray she can get there on time . I know she will do great once at USE...

Good luck! Let us know the results and hopefully things are running smoothly at the Embassy, I read a CNN quote from Ambassador Lenney mentioned the embassy was flooded. Hope it's just a couple of inches of water.

I'm also hoping that the FILIPINO people wake up from this mess and realize they MUST discipline themselves to try and avoid this kind of mess in the future.
