Are all types of Visa's qualified to go for Advanced medical? or only CR1's?

Were on K1 and stuck in AP at NVC.

Someone also posted they will take away her passport at the medical examination appointment?

Doesn't she need the passport for the interview?

Thanks all in advance.

I dont know how your consulate works, but in Canada they do not take your passport, although you are required to have it for your medical of course. I could not book my medical appointment until I received my P3 from the consulate showing my case #. So, simply having your number is not enough, you need the paperwork to go with it. However, this might be completely different where you're from.

This is consulate-specific. In our case (consulate: Seoul, South Korea) Elisha was able to go for her medical based on having the NVC case number even though we were still stuck in AP. She had to take her passport with her, but they didn't keep it.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

After you passed from your medical appointment in SLMEC they will get your passport and just give you a copy of your vaccination record because they will send your medical result along with your passport to the US Embassy in Manila and once you have passed the interview the Embassy will stamped and put a sticker of your visa in your passport :P so you don't have to worry about your passport  and they will send you your Visa together with your passport.About your first question Yes  you can go advance to have your medical as long as you already have your case number and NOA2 and your appointment sched for your interview.

Hi happyme :)

NVC sent us the letter copy Sept 8th so I have that, with the MNL case #. But no appointment letter, I think they are saying we can go ahead with the medical even if we do not have an appointment for interview, as long as we have the NVC case number.

My fiancee called SLMEC yesterday and was told the NVC letter and case # will be OK for a walk-in visit. So she will try this coming Tuesday.

Good Luck to everyone!

She needs the NOA2 approval notice and the MNL number to take a early medical at St. Lukes. K1s can do so also. Have her make a copy of her passort. She may need it doing CFO. She will need the PP number to fill out the DS 156.

She can either do the CFO seminar BEFORE her interview and get the CFO registration sticker after she gets her visa. She can also do he CFO seminar and registration in one day after she gets her visa.

Seminar takes "about" 4 or 5 hours. Registration 3o minutes or so.
