Hi,

I've moved to the US on a K1 fiance visa and am in the process of getting my status adjusted and getting permission to be employed in the US. I've done all the paper work and have my biometrics appointments, but I received two, one for the adjustment of status, and one for the employment status.

Does anyone know if it is possible to have them both done at the same time and who I might need to contact to do so? I've tried to get info from the USCIS hotline, but I can never find the option to talk to a person. Indeed, if anyone can help me navigate through that hotline, I'd be grateful, as well.

Thanks,

JSR

Yes - definitely possible to do both biometrics appointments at the same time. Just go the the earliest appointment date and bring both (original) appointment letters (plus ID/Passport and Marriage Certificate if name changed) and they'll record them both. (No need to call USCIS.)

In many cases - the ASC (Application Support Center) where your biometrics is to take place will allow you to do an early 'walk-in' as well (in other words, you may be able to go even earlier than the earliest appointment date if that is more convenient for your schedule).

It's a quick in/out process - 10-15 minutes once your name is called.
