birthdate is wrong

I made a mistake on all the forms regarding her daughters birthday.I found out after my fiance sent out the ds-230.This form and all the previous forms and the wrong year. I am not sure on how to handle this. Do I just go ahead and correct the date on remaining forms and send a letter along with packet 4 explaining what had happen? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Yes. Your idea is good. I made a mistake on our sons DS-156 (birthdate) and corrected it at the interview. Kive does not have you send forms ahead and my wife realized it at the interview. She just pointed it out when we handed in the documents and they had her cross it out and write the correct date. No problem. The only problem would be if the error is that she is already over age 21 and not eligible, other wise it is not a material error.
