Delivery Time

Hello,

I hope you are all well.

We had a question on the time it takes to receive the visa after being approved.

If we were approved the K-1 visa at the U.S. London Embassy, Luke and I were wondering how long will the delivery take to get the visa to Luke? Is there an option where we can pay more for next day?

You can't pay for the next day delivery but you have an option to pay extra for early delivery (before 8 am) and extra fro Saturday delivery. Sorry but can't remember how much it was now.

The official line is that it takes 5 working days for the passport to get back to you. For some people it took couple of days only but for me it took 15 days (apparently due to a glitch with their visa printing machine). On average, I think it the system does work and most people gets it within the estimated 5 days period.

We are trying to figure out when a safe date is to book his ticket back; assuming he does get it. We were thinking the 3rd of October and his interview is on the 28th of September. I know it's pushing it but I've been patient for TOO long! ha. Is that not reasonable?

Its hard to say because things don't always work out as planned.. I haven't gotten mine yet but another vjer is doing the same thing while she is there hoping it comes in time... We are talking about embassies so they do as they please. Best of luck to you. I hope it works out

I would recommend waiting, you really never know and it seems that the only time things don't work out is the time you jump the gun. We were told that we would have our visa within a week over a week ago and we still haven't gotten anything yet (even though we're in Tokyo it could happen anywhere).
