is there sucht hing as additional processing after the interview...when they take your passport and say congrats does that mean your approved or there is a chance of some sort of additional procesing

Did they give you a date to pick up your visa? They told us we were approved but couldn't pick up the visa until This coming Friday.

they said they will send it...my fiancee just had to send them her birth certificate and they told her there as soon as we get it in the mail we will send it out..she called today and they told her we got the birth certificate and we will send it out today or tommaro...i then called the dept of state to see if they had any information they said its undergoing additional processing..im hoping they mean the birth certificate

Relax!!!! Everything will be fine. She forgot her BC, she sent it in, they put it to her file. Everything is going its way, what did you expect the Department of State to tell you? They need some time to put the BC in her file, print out the visa, put it in her passport and to send it off. Frankfurt is a busy consulate, give them some time.

I agree, relax... it's been 4 days since your interview - in that time the BC had to be sent - Frankfurt is good but they're not THAT good that you'd have the visa in all that time. (The AP the DOS was referring to simply must have been in regards to the BC.)

thank you sooooooooooo muchhhhh you guys took a mountain off my shoulders....i spent close to $12,000 on deposits only for our wedding and i am really exited and when i heard that and those horrible words additional proccessing i began to panic and came running here...so once again thank you soo much
