Ok So I'm a dual US/Canadian citizen who's lived and worked in canada for my entire adult life. I've paid all my canadian taxes, been employed by canadian companies, and I'm filing an I-864 for my wife and son's visa's. I'm trying to get my US taxes for the last three years done, and the agent I went to isn't sure which IRS form to use for an american that has never lived or worked in the US before. If there's anyone with experience on the Tax requirements for the I-864, I'd love some input....

Assuming you don't have any RRSP's or any other investments.

The fact that he didn't know which form to use is - well hmm - so just be sure to have a look at it to make sure it makes sense to you. Unless you made more than around 80 thousand (U.S. dollars converted) in any of those years, your tax liability to the U.S. should equal zero.
