The question is my fiancee was hit when she went to get her NBI clearance. They told her to come back in a week. She doesn't know why she was hit. But if she put single down or married would that affect it.

Because yes she was married and she got the divorce threw the US. I know that in the Philippines that there is no divorce. I have that all covered. But like i said before should she have put married not single on the NBI clearance since she is still married here in the philippines. Would that cause a hit.

If there was a hit, it means she has the same name as someone who has a criminal record. NBI needs a week to resolve it...they just want to make sure it is not her.

If she was married in the PI she needs an annulment in the Philippines, then she needs to show the paper work to the NSO. If she was married in the US all she needs show is the divorce papers to NSO. Then NSO will update her status.

NBI checks all names married, single or criminal. It very well may have nothing to do with a criminal record.
