Hello All,

I am a new US citizen(naturalized recently) and just applied for I-130+129F/k3 for wife and infant daughter who are living in India.

I just bought a house and I really wish I can have my wife for the house warming party. This might not mean to some but in my culture this is an important occassion and hence I want to apply for tourist visa so she can temporarily come down here to visit me for a month. She will go back to India and we would not be bringing my daughter(also hoping this will show our strong intent that she does intend to go back) for the visit since she would have to go back to India for final I-130 embassy interview.

Can anyone share your thoughts on the idea of Visitor visa or if you think we are just wasting our time applying for visitor visa? We just applied for I-130 and K3 just this month in September.

Thank you all.

[Thank You very much Jesus and our heavenly father.]

I don't think there is any documentation you can apply for, in terms of temp visa, whilst visa pending other than tourist visa. They may question her visit though. I don't know if India are within the Visa Waiver Programme. At POE (Point Of Entry), is will be determined if she can proceed or not.

She is got a job in India? You said she is not brining your daughter with her, that's a strong indication of intent to return back to India. You could try and write a letter to her, for her to bring with her, stating the importance your wife being with you whilst you conduct the religious ceremony (as this may strengthen her a get a visa, whilst Visa pending, under religious grounds).

I can understand the important of you wife bring with you at the ceremony.

Best Wishes mate!

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.
