Need advice about NVC

NVC received my application on August 28, 2009

I was told it was being advanced processed on Sept 3, 2009

I called DOS on Sept 3, 2009 who said they had cleared my application to go to the embassy in Romania

Now is Sept 10, 2009 and NVC is still saying is in advance processing - even though I have stated I have been told by DOS we have been cleared

The lady I told this to said "See this is what is wrong - no one updates on this side"

Is there anything else I can do ? Or should do ?

I just called this morning and was told may be 3-5 weeks and should call back at the end of this month

call DOS again and ask them if the embassy recieved your file and if they sent out packet 3....if they say they have received it then call the embassy just to varify...this is the most you can do....good luck

Hello everyone: wow I did not realize how many of us Romanians are out here trying to get our fiancé to the States. I have read some of your comments and congratulations to those that have received the interview. I am just a little down it as been 3 months since I put in for K1 visa, and have not received anything except the I-797; and even thought the California Customer Service said it takes about 5 months I was hoping it would not take the entire time. From reading other issues some have received it earlier.

Well I took firdaus advice ..the lady I got this time at dos pretty much told me to mind my own business ..lol

NVC will let me know WHEN THEY decide to send my application to the embassy and UNTIL NVC decides is none of my business ..lol

the woman at the dos of state stated that nvc still has my k-1 application, and the nvc will send it when the nvc is good and ready to send it to the embassy, and not a day sooner and i need to wait and just let the nvc let me know when they will send my application to the embassy
