Need your help - K3, CR1 and IR1 visa Medical Process

To all who have been through or undergoing the K3, CR1 and IR1 visa, I need your help.

My cousin's husband just got approved of the spousal petition (she didn't tell me which one - K3, CR1 or IR1). He got the letter from the US embassy in Manila that his interview will be on October 27, and that he has to complete the medical before that. Now, does he need to call and set an appointment at St. Luke's or can he just walk in? Some visa application require an appointment for the medical and I would like to have a clear understanding if that should be the case for a spousal visa as well.

Let me know your thoughts. I would appreciate it. Thanks!!!

If they were given the interview appointment in advance, and that notice came from NVC, then that tells me it's an IR1/CR1 visa. I believe K1 and K3 applicants are given the flexibility of setting their own interview appointment.

No need to make an appointment for the medical exam, walk-ins are accepted. If he decides to go on a Monday, he has to be in line before 5am (as per kaibigan's experience). The earlier you go, the earlier you finish. It's ok to go a week before (as feedback suggests), but better two weeks in advance so make room for any additional testing that needs to be done.

Some VJ members have suggested to go during lean days (between Tue and Thu), after 12noon.
