I hope that this is not really a problem, but I am getting paranoid:

According to the Processing Times section of VisaJourney.com, the California Service Center should be processing I-130s with an NOA1 date of approximately June 2, 2009.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?autocom=custom&page=ir1cr1historical

When I log in to the USCIS site, I see that our application was received on May 13, 2009, with the last activity on May 14, 2009. The only document I have ever received was the NOA1 notification.

Should I be concerned about this? It seems that NOA1s received several weeks after ours now are being processed. Does the country or embassy involved matter at this point (I wouldn't think so)? Should I attempt to contact USCIS or the CSC to see if something is wrong?

Any suggestions welcome and may prevent an ulcer.

Thanks,

Dave

VJ represents only 10% of the total received applications at the service centers. Go by what USCIS says off their timeline website.

i would say vj probably represents 1% or less

i would suggest that the op try calling the service center though

I-130 Petition for Alien Relative U.S. citizen filing for a spouse, parent, or child under 21 March 15, 2009

As per: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Processtim...eviceCenter=CSC

So it looks like their technical processing time is almost 6 months. Since you are not outside of that time frame, there really isn't anything you can do.

Montreal: BEAT!!! Approved!!!!!
