Business Days vs. Days When Counting

We are all counting down the days! As it relates to USCIS "timelines" do they mean 90-120 business days or calendar days. If they mean business days, I see a lot miscalculations on everyone's part , which just feeds into our disappointment with USCIS. Anyone have any concrete evidence one way or another? Or let the theories fly. I think it is business days, the government is all about business days.

I am at 105 business days, but 141 calendar days.

Can we count Saturdays...the supposedly work on Saturdays, right? Gosh, please!

Okay I am going to really hate admitting this but, I work for the government and usually when they mean business days they state very clearly "business days" if not stated it means calendar days. Could be wrong here but I would go for calendar.

Not that it makes one hell of a difference. The delays at CSC are so far out of whack that it really doesnt matter. We are all in for long wait.

I believe some folks here were told by the USCIS that is was business days. I remember reading posts on it, just don't remember which posts they were

I agree. The centers are also operational not only weekdays but nights & weekends.

Don't apoligize working for the gov't. Their are alot of good people that work for the gov;t that are very professional and care about what they are doing. Unfortunately though the bad apples give the generalization of "gov't worker". Some agencies are better than others in efficiency and performance while others should be just outright fired and start from scratch...

Just my opinion and no I am not employed by the gov't, but I do interact with a couple different agencies extensively in my profession.

Like any large organization, some good, some bad. But if the gov't was run like private business they would not have a job very long.

I was told it was business days by my Congressman. That being said it was suppose to be between 80-120 days for me, and I am at day 100, and business day 73.

I don't think the people working even at the centers know, and i would love to know the percentage of people who fall outside of the "projected" dates.

I did some checking this morning and supposedly I was right. Unless stating otherwise it is calendar days. Not that it makes one hell of a difference as their projections never seem to match what they say anyway. I hit 120 calendar days today, 95 working days, not counting Sat.
