There seems to be a lot of recent approvals. Lets hope that means things are going to start moving through Lagos. I hope everyone gets a quick date.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I noted that there are about 10 couples that have been approved in July and August and no one has posted an interview date. Maybe we are heading to a big interview party

1.... D & M

2.... dapo & Bukola

3.... J & S

4.... Uchenna & Ambrose

5.... Evans & Scholastica

6.... Olalekan & La Francenzo

7.... Oluwafemi & Nina

8.... Ozzi & Marie

9.... MARK & DINAH

10.... ejibaba & lili

Anyone have a date yet ?

Oluwafemi and I have received no word yet of a scheduled interview. We continue to pray and keep our faith in God that all things will work out for our highest good and in the proper timing that HE (God) has prepred for us. Our prayers are with all of you who continue to hold on. Just remember that "to everything there is a season"....

okay we finally got an interview date. it is oct 23. here is the story behind it. i ended up calling dept of state to check on our case to see what was going on and they claim they sent us an email on sept 10 indicating this information. we never got anything from them at all . so now they claim they have to contact the embassy so they can resend the email to us as we need the interview letter from it , who knows how long that will take. we were approved on july 29. so to those that were approved around that time frame i recommend u call the dept of state and check on your case because yours could be like ours. also if i never would of called them yesterday we would still be waiting on a date ( to hear from them ) and oct 23 would soon be here and gone . so just call them !

Please, can someone tell the next step, am a little confused. I received an approval in August, the file was sent to Lagos and the NVC said the embassy mailed out packet 3 on the 1st of September, we have not received any packet yet. I have sent them numerous emails, but there had been no response. I would like to know:

1. is it necessary to wait for the packet or this can be downloaded, filled out and submitted along with police report?

2. can the medical exam be done without arrival of the packet 3?

3. How are interviews scheduled? Is it after the arrival and submission of packet 3 or it comes with the packet 3.

I will appreciate all the information I can get. Thanks in advance for your help.

After Lagos rec ur case from NVC they will email you with your interview date and packet 3. It takes from 4 to 6 weeks after they rec your case to email u with this info. You can't get the medical without the interview letter, they want to see that. They seem to ignore our emails unless they respond back with a general response. U pretty much just have to wait for them to send ur date. Also, please know that no packet will be mailed to you...they will email the petitioner the interview info and you can always call Department of State to see if your interview date has been scheduled.

Welcome to the waiting for interview group. Does anyone know if people tend to go in native wear or american clothes.

Well to me...i think it doesn't matter because they don;t look at that. Casual wears should be the best.

Yes my S.O. said he is just going in a nice dress type shirt some slacks and dres shoes. So casual wear seems to work best. Something comfortable cause you know you are gonna be there a while and will have to stand in line outside.
