I had a teacher at college that pushed his conservative Republican religious agenda. It was in a class that was suppose to study the bible as a literary work, not as a religious guide. He didn't seem to understand that though.

You had a single teacher at the college level pushing religion in a class on the Bible as literature? It's not a class in K-12 and you should expect some religion in a class on the Bible.

I took a statistics class in college and after someone had a significant life changing event he started talking about religion and how a certain chapter or whatever could really help this woman. The rest of the course wound up just chit chatting about the bible, and he passed it off as "i had a reason for coming here (he lived 1.5 hours away) and this is it (meaning counseling via bible passages).

i don't remember as far back as elementary school, but in HS i remember some teachers having a slight political bias that would emerge in class sometimes. i don't know... i don't remember it effecting me. i guess i was old enough to distinguish opinion from fact.

forgot to brag on the affordable AUS housing ...

Is housing in Manhattan affordable? Yes or No

Why do you think housing in Manhattan has hit the million dollar price mark?

To the contrary, why do you think I could buy an entire house in Texas using my Amex card?

AUS vs Manhattan .. .yup geographically about the same in territory size ...

(Boyaa loves to think he is the only one with stamps on his passport...... )

 Which foreign military bases have ya'llz traveled to..

is that AUS speak for southern?

The majority of time when someone from the South says they have been to other countries, this means they have been their because of the military. The American middle-class, particulary in the South, are not renowned for travel outside their town or county let alone state or country. Furthermore, this is reinforced by the fact that up until a few years ago, less than 20% of Americans had passports. Maybe if you guys did actually travel to other developed countries you would realize how wrong your attitude and reasoning really is. Heck might even learn something which is so not the republican thing to do. Rather than pulling the norm and making up 1001 BS excuses, go see first hand how much you have been beaten in a number of facets in life. Beaten by the same principles and type of government intervention you loathe and claim is a failure.

Anyone college educated would know how to answer that or have the capability of putting two and two together.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

btw: your numbers are skewed ... until recently ... people from the US didn't need passports to visit canada or mexico. please add this tidbit to your vast knowledge base ...

You must have missed the part of the majority of time someone I speak to. But anyway, I can see the hundreds of millions who travel to Canada. I am sure you go to Mexico, which is a 2nd world county, and then you come back and think man we have an awesome life.

I wasn't born yesterday. As stated before, people from those areas hardly leave their town or county let alone state or country. Big reason for that is because they are poor yet I'll be damned if they are not the first to cut down any attempt to lift up their living standard. Something the rest of the developed world calls being an idiot.

I am still waiting to hear you explain why the prices are so high then. Clearly to you, it has nothing to do with S&D.

Nice way to dodge stuff and beat around the bush. Very republicnish. Someone could ask what letter precedes D and repubs like yourself will go on about socialism and Regan or some other #######, but never answer it directly. I have seen it in this forum alone time and time again. On issues that I agree with you guys, I never really paid attention to it. However, now that I am on the other end, I realize exactly what trying to discuss something with a repub is like. There is no discussion period. You guys have every angle covered and no matter what is resented to you, it's wrong. You use hearsay and and extreme examples to make your point; particularly international ones that support your argument. yet when I use international arguments myself, then I get the who cares, we're not xyz country or in xyz country.

Or better yet your current BS that you have traveled the world. Now that is funny. A lie but funny.

Therefore, why is property more expensive in Manhattan yet cheaper in Harlem? Hint: this also explains the reason why houses are so expensive in Australia. Which, as you pointed out, is an entire country rather than a city. That alone, in itself, says something; does it not?

When something looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, sounds like a duck, walks like a duck and smells like a duck, it's safe to assume it's a duck. So when I have someone from Texas who stated they were annoyed at the police investigating their neighbors suicide, I know first hand how little this person has traveled. Go to any other first world country and say the same thing, then come back and tell me what their response to that alone would be. Point being, clearly this person has little actual international experience as they would know that the republican ideology is not the nor in many (if any) other first world countries; Only 2nd and particularly 3rd world countries. Each to their own (jungle rules) is not the norm in the developed world.

I am not going to waste time discussing something with someone who neither has a clue about it nor cares too. This is America after all, where many clearly confuse opinions for knowledge. I also don't have the same toe the party (ideological) line attitude to everything, which seems to be the norm here too.

After all, it is the same reason those who condone illegal immigration have nothing to go by apart from accusing people of being racist. Or that when it comes to crimes committed by illegal aliens, they excuse it with a everyone does it too; therefore, it must be acceptable. What this shows me is that no matter what ironclad evidence I show them, they will refuse to acknowledge it as fundamentally it would clash with their ideological based stance on the issue.

Personally, I have even proven my self wrong before. Therefore, I will reevaluate my stance and adjust it accordingly. Life is not some sort of team, that is, one you pick and back no matter what.
