God, what an aweful vision. And then you have a black man pledging to see himself as an American rather than an African American, a woman pledging to be a good mother, a man pledging to be a good father, several individuals pledging to be engaged in initiatives they care about, make a step in the right direction, lend a helping hand, care for underpriviliged children, care for the elderly. What are these people thinking? What an aweful place wopuld this country be if evryone would do a little for someone else? We can't have that.

Sounds too optimistic and positive. There's not one mention of the axis of evil or evil doers.

put in action the things we hold as important, yet get pushed aside from time to time.

The big problem I have with this vid is the Wrapping of a political leader around these pledges.

This is exactly with Communist and totalitarian countries do with pledges and huge murals and posters exulting the leader as if he "is" the state.

The Selective Outrage Brigade has an outrage episode every time Obama blows his nose or wipes his #######. They're getting so desperate that they start imagining things that aren't really there, like seeing the image of the Virgin Mary on a piece of toast and then trying to sell it on eBay.
