Hello lovely Mal...

Aw honey, in my humble opinion, the very best thing you can do is just make her feel like you are there for her -- despite the distance... I find that when my best girls are going the #######, the best thing I can offer is patience, my ever listening ear and a shoulder for them if and when they need it. I too find it hard to come up with the 'perfect' words so I make sure that they know I'm there for them and that I love them.

You're not stupid and lame, my dear -- we're all stymied in the face of other peoples' hardships.

:luv:

My best friend from high school is living a complete nightmare. Her cousin was kidnapped and murdered last year by a complete stranger. She's been attending the trail the past week and I have no idea what in the heck to say to her. Everything I try to send her just sounds so damn stupid and lame.

What in the world do you say to someone in bad situations?

Thanks again, everyone. :) I'll be sending her a note next week. The trial is over (Krikit, I'm sure you've heard of it, actually) and he was found guilty of all charges (Thank God).

Oh no. Not the King guy? OMG, that was soooo horrible.

Yeah. :(:crying:

They're talking about it on tv right now. The judge has called an emergency session and they are in the courtroom live.

This man was recommended for the death penalty by the Jury today in court. I just read on CNN news:
