All, I need your expert advice. My son was born in India in Chennai, we applied for CRBA and US Passport, which went smoothly, and we had recieved it. We also applied for the india exit visa to leave the country and we have gotten that too. But now there is a huge problem, we seem to have misplaced the CRBA form and are unable to find it. My baby has a passport and the exit visa, Can he still travel without the CRBA? is the CRBA documentation an absolute requirement to travel, since ha alreadyhas a US passport. PLEASE PLEASE let me know, if you have any information on the rules.

no sir you sure dont need CRBA for travel, US passport is more than enough. Neverthles, you will have to obtain a copy of CRBA which is reissued one single time for $40 through Department of State as soon as you rech US attached to a notorized Affitdavit that you have lost the original CRBA, it will take months to be reissued as they have to obtain all the file to be sent by US Embassy in India . so be ready. Good luck

All you need for your son to enter the US is his US Passport, When you say you misplace the CRBA you must be talking about the CRBA Cert. from the US. You may very well need this certificate in the future, it shows he is a US citizen . A replacement is around $50.00
