Does anyone know how to obtain (or even if it is possible to obtain) records of vaccinations done as a child? this would be back in the 70's. I know I got the shots (and I've gotten boosters recently) and I know the name of the doctor that administered them, but I cannot find him doing a Canada411 search and the health centre does not seem to exist anymore. Would hospitals keep these records? Where to records go to get dusty???

Just trying to figure out what I need to do to satisfy the medical. From what I am reading in the link sent, they need proof of the original series of shots along with proof of the boosters. I have proof of the boosters, but no record from when I was a baby. Just wondering if I should get the antibody done instead.

I-130 for Parents - 2013
Aug ?? - mailed I-130 packages for both mother and father
Sept 10 - NOA1 date
Sept 16 - NOA1s received

2014

Feb 25 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office for processing

Feb 26 - got emails saying that the cases have been transferred to my local office for processing

Feb 28 - got emails saying that the cases have been transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

Mar 18 - got emails saying that the petitions are approved smile.png

all I had for proof was this little booklet my mom kept that showed the shots I had as a baby and the date... when I phoned to make the appointment for the medical I asked if this was good enough proof and they said it was...

I ended up not needing it though because I got the antibody titres done because neither me or my mom could remember if I had the chicken pox and also I had no proof that I got the german measles/ruebella shot

go to your current family doctor or a walk-in and have some blood drawn to test for antibody titres. That'll take about a week to get back the results, and then just take that to the medical. You probably only need a tetanus shot.

Thank you very much both. I guess that though I DETEST needles - tee hee - it is the simpler option. Appreciate the feedback!

20/11/06 - visa in my pocket!

14/01/07 - POE

13/04/07 - marriage

27/04/07 docs sent in for AOS, EAD, AP

26/06/07 - biometrics appointment

02/17/07 - AP and EAD arrive

03/03/08 - Infopass - where the heck is my AOS interview?? No one knows!

I hope they do the titre test right. I had one done here and they didn't do mumps. I ended up getting the shots again during my medical.

the titre test can't check if you have had the mumps shot :no: but my doctor said that if it showed I had ruebella I probably had the mumps shot.... as it is given together :yes

the titre test can only check if you had the chicken pox and the ruebella shot...

During the medical, I tried asking the nurse that since I tested positive on the rubella and measles (and chicken pox), would they not consider that I was vaccinated for mumps as well. And they said they needed proof in writing that I had it. Ugh! I wish I knew going in that the titre test wouldn't show I had the mumps shot. Oh well... it's done now.

*January 25 2006 - I129-F received at CSC

*January 30 2006 - packet returned.....arggggggggg we forgot one signature!!

*January 31 2006 - sent I129-F back to the CSC, hope we did not forget anything else

*February 1 2006 - I129-F received at CSC again

Thanks again all for the insight. I saw my doctor yesterday and as my biggest concern is with the Td shot she simply suggested getting it again whenever my medical got scheduled. One of the options is to get it within 4 weeks of the interview and apparently, getting it twice in a 4 year span cannot hurt you.

So yay! I have another option ... though I may try to get my records as cristy did - just to have them too ..... hmmmm...

Speaking of tetanus - the doc didn't say anything about it during my husband's medical, even though he doesn't have the actual record of having had it. Will this be a problem at the interview?

I have titre test proof for rubella and varicella (mmm...makes me want pasta) and I had more titres done today for red measles, mumps and Hep B. ?? Doc told me to come back closer to my interview to get a tetanus shot with pertussis included. I am about a year away from my last tet shot expiring and she figured it would be ok to do it again at that point, and get the pertussis thing included with it.

04/13/06 - I-129F mailed

04/18/06 - NOA1

08/30/06 - NOA2

09/26/06 - received at NVC

09/27/06 - forwarded to consulate

20/11/06 - visa in my pocket!

all you need for shots etc... is MMR (mumps, measles and ruebella) and chicken pox and tetanus... if you are between 18 and 65...

I was told by my doctor that the titre can only check for ruebella and chicken pox .. it can't check for measles or mumps

He'll need a record for his medical? But he already HAD his med and the doc DIDN'T ask for it. Like I said, hubby didn't have a record but the doctor didn't ask for it anyway or even offer to give him the tetanus shot.
