First...name on I-129f is not important. They will issue the visa in the name on her passport and as applied for. The I-129f is a petition, not a visa application. You will have her birth certificate at the interview, explain the error there. USCIS cannot correct your clerical error on the phone. Correct it in person at the consulate.

You do not state country. Most, if not all, countries require the father (absent parent) to sign a letter approving the child be reloacted permanently to the USA. OR a court order of sole custody OR death certificate of the father. No exeptions that I know of. You will also need, with the letter, the copy of the father's passport photo and signature page. This is something best obtained before the petition is filed, as you did not plan for that you will now need to obtain it before your interview. I suggest you "read ahead" in the instructions and not wait until you get to bridges to cross them. They can take a long time to cross and petitions and visas can expire. Best to get ALL the documents you will need for the process, including AOS ready NOW.

Good luck

The name in the visa goes by what you fill out on the DS 156 visa application before your interview.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!
