Hi! :)

Does anyone know what can be used as proof of "residency in your household and relationship to you" for the I-864? I am using my mother's income to help meet the income requirement for the affidavit of support. We will live with her when we are first back in the US, so there should be no problem, but I have no idea what kind of "evidence" I should submit as proof of our relationship and our residency in the same household.

Thanks for your help!

Sarah

I used a copy of both of our driver's licenses showing the same address. Or you could use a bill- do you have any bank statements or credit cards or anything like that going to her house?

Birth certificates usually show the mother's maiden name. Mine had her maiden name listed but my mother has her married name on all her other documents (license, passport, taxes, etc.). I think the names will be different for quite a lot of people and they are aware of that. I wrote next to that document in my cover letter that her name is "Ms. Firstname Xyz (née Zyx)" just in case though.
