Annulment papers

One of the requirements of Renewal of passport if Filipino Citizen was previously married or/was annulled is Judiciary Decree of Annulment. My question is do I have to photocopy everything including the following :

1. Petition

2. Certification

3. Decree of Declaration of nullity of Marriage

4. Certificate of Finality

5. Judgement

I hope someone can answer me.

Hi mossycouple.

Yes, you need all that. However, you also need the NSO Marriage Certificate (of your previous marriage) that has been annotated. An annotation (or note) on the left side of your marriage certificate that shows your marriage has been annulled on the date found on the Judgment.

Have you taken your previous marriage certificate down to the Local Civil Registrar's Office to have it annotated? It takes a few weeks for them to process and then forward to the NSO to be included in their database so you can get it on security paper.

You will also need that later when you apply for a marriage license.

Hi thanks for the reply! I am trying to renew my passport here in the US. I used to have the MC Annotated copy but I sent it to the USCIS when we applied for AOS now I only had the photcopy. Do you think that would be enough (the photocopy) to send to the Philippine Embassy in Washington DC? Thanks again

The photocopy may suffice...are you trying to change your passport to reflect your USC spouse's family name?

I am trying to renew my passport because it expired last July 2009 and is planning to travel next year. I am wanting to reflect my new married name as the same with my Green card to my new passport. I called Phils embassy today after woek around 4pm but it goes to the answering machine all the time. It sucks!

In that case you also have to give them a photocopy of your green CFO certificate and your new marriage certificate (showing your marriage to your USC spouse).

I don't think CFO is necessary here, together with the Renewal of Passport, I also submit the application of report of marriage. Anyway thznx

We went to the consulate in LA to get Claudeth's new passport and to change her name to her married name and we had to jump through hoops for hours. They wanted copies of everything but instead of giving us a list I kept going back and forth to the copy store on the first floor. Ugh Fortunately we had brought the entire visa patition packet along with our marriage certificate so were successful finally. After that we just had to go to the Jollibee on Beverly for snacks
