Here its my story, and trying to make it a short as possible not to bore any of you fine people. I'm a person that loves to travel specially to these countries in Latin American because of my latin decent (cuban). I'm fluent in spanish, I have been to Ecuador, Costa Rica, Dominican... I decided on my last trip to go to Colombia, but my buddy canceled on me a month before departure so I started trying to meet several people online to hang out while I was there (I definitely was not going to cancel), so I met this incredible girl whom I talked and chatted several times before my trip. The rest you can imagine, let me just tell you that I did not believe in love at first sight until now, several of months have passed, long phone conversations, and two trips, and we are ready to start the K1

So here I was debating whether I was going ot hire an attorney or attempt to do the paperwork myself, after bumping into this website the decision was simple. Eventhough, the instructions are complete and basic enough for the average person I have a couple of questions that you could help me with, and my apologies if they have been answered before.

1 - What's the format for filling out the 129F and G325A for latins (their last names is the combination of Father and Mother's maiden name). Should I just type the Family name or both? What about in Other Names Used is the whole name appropiate there?

2 - Is MSN messanger or Yahoo Messanger applicable under the IMBRA laws.

1- Alright, I'm not Colombian, but Brazilian, but we too use our father's last name and mother's maiden name (only in a different order: first name - mother's - father's). What I did was... I used my mom's maiden name as a middle name. I didn't have any problems with that.

2- MSN messenger or Yahoo Messenger are not sites, but they're tools for communicating. Where did you get her e-mail or datat that made it possible for you to contact her? That's what matters to assess whether it'll be considered a marriage broker or not.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Thank you for your response. I just happened to see the answer to my question inthe FAQs. Apparently people just use the Father's last name, stating in the cover letter her whole name and that you are only going to be using her Father's name in the forms.
