Once the AOS fee has been processed, does the NVC email you again regarding the I-864 packet or do you have to keep checking the online payment website until it says your receipt and coversheet are available?

Thanks!!

Go to http://www.uscis.gov and print out the I-1864 form where it says "Immigration Forms" and follow its instructions. That's it. They don't send you anything if you paid online.

Timeline:

Sent in I-130 form: 01/29/09

Interview Date: 11/08/09 (APPROVED!)

Visa in Hand: 11/12/09

POE: 01/30/10 (!!!!) at JFK Airport in NYC... can't wait!

Got the green card maybe 8 weeks after 01/30/10...

TBC....

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

yes...thanks i forgot about the dreaded cover letter lol.

but basically you can go to USCIS print out the forms as well and get all the info you need to include with it.

also, wouldn't hurt to write your own cover letter. i found a sample on here and included that with mine as well.

best of luck!
