Fidel Castro Dead?

Hi just checked a venezuelan digital newspaper/forum and they are saying that it has not been confirmed.

One of the most important and serious journalists of Venezuela said that it was true on her radio show, but again, apparently it has not been confirmed by cuban officials.

If he's dead, I assume that Chavez would be in Cuba now...

Thanks for the information because a lot of people are going crazy here in Miami. Miami is full of Cubans and they want to know. If he dies the streets are going to be crazy it might be worst than when the Miami Heat won the NBA Finals a couple of weeks ago.

What is the name of the Venezuelan journalist? Do you know?

Peter, the journalist is Marta Colomina, she oposes the government therefore is being persecuted... She one of many that bring the dirty laundry out, so it's an obstacle for the revolution.

The digital newspaper/forum were I found the info is www.noticierodigital.com if you speak spanish then you might be able to follow the thread and see what's happening.

I know that Miami will party for a month long if this is true... So I am hoping that you tell us how much will you be celebrating!

Hmmm... if it is true I'll be curious to see what happens. I suspect regime change of some form will be one the cards - probably ending up with Cuba becoming an annexed territory of the US, similar to Puerto Rico.

I am still celebrating the Miami Heat Championship! So imagine I will just continue on a non stop partying marathon and then I have my wife’s Colombian Independence Day Festival which will be on Sunday, July 23. I may not get any sleep until the end of July.

Yes, and now there is no power to station missiles there.

Personally, I would welcome a partial annexation. I think commonwealth status like that of Puerto Rico would be fantastic for Cuba. Wouldn't hurt MLB either.

Anyone who works at the State Deparment want to confirm the anonymous rumor we just heard that everyone’s freaking the ###### out re. the unverified death of Fidel Castro?

To be more specific — we hear OAS heard rumors of said death and is, as of right now, unable to verify Castro’s whereabouts or hold on this mortal coil.

The Fidel is finally dead rumor has fired up today. We've been hearing it for the last little while too. A news organization in Miami is working the story, but the Miami area congressmen are discounting this as rumor for now.
