How long does it take New Delhi Embassy to send to VFS!?

Does anyone know how long it takes New Delhi Embassy to send to VFS? My wife had her interview on Thursday and I called VFS today and they still don't have it! The officer told my wife it will take about a week (but I am not sure if that meant to VFS or to her home). I do not want to bug IVND about this....or should I mail them?

Oh, and if anyone wants to know details of our interview (Approved!) please PM me! It was just 5 minutes or so and straight forward. Counselor asked me he was happy to see me accompany wife, but asked me to sit down for interview.

I am pretty sure they meant home. Usually when VFS gets the passport and brown package the same day of the interview or the next day and applicant can get it personally from there; if the applicant doesn't come to pick up personally then it is posted to their home address through DHL.

Don't panic...As Meloveulongtime said, Mumbai usually gets it back the same day...but Delhi usually takes a few days. It took us 3 days for VFS to get my husbands passport back (we interviewed on a Monday, his passport showed up at VFS on Thursday). Once they get it back they will courrier it out that afternoon, or you can chose to go to VFS and pick it up, but you have to catch it before they courrier it out. It's a very short window of time...they usually receive them in the morning and out that same night after 4pm.

VFS still has not got passport. Whats the deal!?!?

Did anyone get Delhi Immigrant Approvals recently and had this much delay? I am thinking things are more delayed since Delhi and VFS were closed on Friday/Saturday and obv. Sunday.

Now that you mention it - it was both Independence Day and Janmashtani [i think? Not fully versed on Hindu holidays ]...that could have totally influenced the printing cycle right now. When Mr. Soon-to-be-catknit interveiwed in October last year they had a backlog due to Diwali and local employees taking time off...
