If we go the CR1 path, it looks like we have maybe 125 days -- with a big uncertainty bar -- until NOA2. Then, for Russia, there are not many cases to go by, but it looks like another 260 days, more or less, at that stage. Is all this time spent at NVC? Once NVC finishes their process, the case moves to the embassy and the spouse gets her interview. What role does the embassy play here? There seems to be a lot of variation, country to country. What drives that variation?

More questions: Is there a medical exam, like for a K1? Does the spouse need to get all vaccinations current in Russia, or can she wait until after she arrives?
