Hi All,

This is my first post to this group but I have been watching this group a lot, all the members are so helpful and motivating each other ,this is wonderful.

Now let me describe my confused situation. I my self is the beneficiary and my fiancée filed the K1 petition on May 10th and we have a receipt notice dated 15th of May from the California office so its been almost 2months, now I had to change my address in Germany and also the phone number, is it necessary to inform the USCIS guys about the beneficiary’s address change. We are just afraid to call the USCIS office because, may this can delay our application process!!!.

So the questing arise, how the consulate is gonna contact me?

My fiancée can call the Frankfurt embassy after the case is approved and tell them the new address and phone number, also the German post system provide redirecting the post into the new address.

What you guys can recommend for this? Shall we call the USCIS ?

or Wait until the case is approved and try to settle the issue from with the Frankfurt embassy ?

if we call, is there any chance for the delay for the process?

We just don’t wanna delay the petition process from our side, there is already lot of stuff like IMBRA makes our life miserable and make the process so slow! !!

Thanks in advance and good luck for all.

Love (L) , Nishar.

We changed addresses and it actually sped it up! because they sent out the packet straight away. We wrote them and letter and sent it express/overnight and also emailed them.

Hi hun!

no problem....I will ask my fiance for the email address when he gets home from work and post it here for you :) we sent a letter to the consulate in sydney as well. So I would do both email and letter it should be fixed pretty quick. We had no problems at all doing it this way...I will post back :)
