I believe in some form of a single payer healthcare system. However, because of the size, and dynamics of the United States, you simply cannot adapt some other nations system to work here. So, I vehemently disagree with this rushed form of it that they are trying to push through congress.

why is this even news? Of course he supported it, and I'm sure he still does. I would have to think anyone supporting government ran healthcare would want it that way.

Senator Kennedy has already worked out a plan with Pelosi and Reid. Whatever form of the bill makes it to conference, it will be rewritten. Pelosi already has the votes in the House, enough of my Blue Dogs already caved under pressure. It will be rammed through the Senate under "Reconciliation".

Reconciliation is inevitable. The moderates and left need to accept the need to move forward at a forceful yet measured pace...
