What part of Seattle? I went to high school in Des Moines.

I can see downtown from "my" windows.

The pretty Space Needle is due directly West as the crow flies.

I'm lovin' it here...this heat wave finally snapped...but I got into it.

Uh well... I could see pudget sound thru the trees. :D I always wanted to live downtown, but too spendy so I spent half of my time there in traffic. I did enjoy living in that area, traffic and rain aside.

I hope, I don't need prescription to buy Tylenol in Walmart.

If Obama gets his way, you can only buy Tylenol from a government-run pharmacy. There will be 1 pharmacy per state so if you live in Texas or Kansas or something you'll have to drive hours or days to get to the nearest pharmacy. Once there, you have to interview with some $10/hour hoodrat working off a script who will determine your eligibility for Tylenol. If she approved it, you'll go on a waiting list and your meds will be mailed to your address, but of course they will get your address wrong. After all, they are the government.

Come on... did you read that whole piece? The guy doesn't include any concrete facts whatsoever, in fact the entire thing is full of emotionally loaded rhetoric and right-wing soundbites. Not only that but the author makes false comparisons between completely issues - comparing socialised healthcare to a clause in the Geneva conventions about "collective punishment".

That's exactly what it is though - punishing me for the sins of others via higher taxes.

 You're against taxation funding public healthcare services - I get it.

But the idea that public services funded by public taxation somehow amount to "collective punishment" in the sense that it is intended in the Geneva convention is patently false.

Not all public services - only those that hold responsible people accountable for the irresponsible behavior of others.

And I don't seek doctor's help to heal either.

Heal thyself?

We all are programmed to heal.

Cells are brilliant!

:star:

Does that include cancer cells?

Okay I'm back and I've been thinking of the best approach for you and w¡n9Nµ7 §£@¥€r.

Have you ever met someone who was diagnosed with cancer or a tumor and they took matters in their own hands and healed themselves using whatever means worked for them? (This does not include that horrid chemo "therapy".)

You were primed to beotch slap the lib you're holding back. Why?

I know what your up to here but no point in trying to argue the point when he doesn't take the article serious at all and just considers it all rhetoric.

Author of the article can't even keep his Bible and his Constitution straight......

That *still* isn't the same, Mark.

That article of the Geneva convention is concerned exclusively with the actions of occupying military powers in wartime. Its not remotely the same - its certainly not the basis for talking point to suggest that services funded by tax system are somehow against human rights.

I do realize it's not the same thing; surely you understand what an analogy is. It's a symbolic comparison - it's not meant to be literal.
