Is it just me or are the rest of you getting excited for natz?? :D Hubby can apply a month after I give birth (he keeps joking that his kid will be a US citizen before he will...!) so I'll have to get the paperwork done a little early. I swear I'm ready to do it NOW because I enjoy it. Sad I know. :P

Hi TracyTN,

I think everyone who passes the ROC period gets overwhelmingly excited about naturalization. I already downloaded the document, and started to fill it out (the parts that I know that won't change) and I am still waiting on my ROC approval!!!! But I agree, what will happen when all of this is over.... I can't apply for anything with USCIS :(

Just kidding.....

you can send the birth certificate with your N-400 application, I am sure you already know all this and maybe already decided to do that....

You're an addict! What will you do when it's all over? :D

Seriously, don't joke about it. Depression I tell ya - depression!!!

Though I have been speaking with a local attorney about helping her get immigration law going in her practice. She is still getting up to speed and is interested in hiring me as a consultant once things get going. It's my one ray of hope. :D :D

Are you talking about our little tyke's birth certificate or? Sorry - pg lady hormones mean I don't always follow along. HA!!!

when filing N-400, they request some evidence, but it is very limited when you mail the app. So if you deliver and get the birth certificate ready before applying, it is one of the items listed as evidence with N-400. So, you can use it to tease your husband by saying: not only your child was a citizen before you, but he also helped you with your citizenship :D

For some reason I am a lot less excited about naturalization: it mostly seems like a done deal... And you have your GC during whole process, unlike ROC where you have some piece of paper for a proof of status, possible additional inspections on entry to the country, questions from employers, possible RFEs, interviews, bla bla bla

Right - that's what I thought you meant but was just making sure I was following along. :)

sh18 - the only reason I am excited about natz is actually going through the process again. I'm sad that way. ;)

Sorry to hear about your situation - but on the bright side, you can in in less than a month make an infopass appointment and inquire about your case. If I remember correctly, they always ask to wait 6 months before taking any action.
