yeah, it took 2 weeks to get it.

some have used noa1 and gotten it. maybe some tea money to get them to do it?

I think it's only good for 6 months. Our process took a year so we waited for the third packet and ordered the police about the same time.

just do whatever you can do. they won't put you in jail for trying (make sure you're not there when she orders it....the farang effect, you know....

there's an ongoing problem of claiming you didn't submit one. That and the bai rub rong sod (single eligible to marry cert from the amphur)

I'm using an Agency to help my Thai Fiance with the Paerwork on her end & I sent an e-mail to the US Ebassy in Bangkok & they responded :

Dear Mr.

The Immigrant Visa Unit of the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok received the K-1 case from NVC on July 20, 2009. The Packet 3 which is an instructional letter was mailed to the applicant’s address below on July 27, 2009.

It's going on August 1st & she still hasn't recieved the Package, I know Thai mail is slow but come on!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm using an Agency to help her on her end & there like we need the "Packet #3 information" I have the Case # & isn't everything you need for the return Trip to the Embassy at our fingertips allready?

Just a little impatient!!

see if you can get a certified copy, too.

there's an ongoing problem of claiming you didn't submit one. That and the bai rub rong sod (single eligible to marry cert from the amphur)

ok can have her stop and get some copies. ok what is a single eligible to marry cert from the amphur ?

we are married why would they want that is we have a marrage cert ?

I think I read something about a name change cert ? can she just get a cert copy of the house blue book ? it shows the name change in that.

John, you don't need the bai rub rong sod. That is for K-1s. As far as the name change, you should already have that if she changed her ID card, blue book, and passport. Get it translated to English.

Dont remember her getting a cert for the name change at the amphur. It was funny as hell we go there right before lunch, the staff we not happy they had to stay there and wait to do Nan's name change before the could leave for lunch.

I will ask Nan today if she got it, If not is should be easy to get at the amphur.

How do you get a police report when you do a I-130. What letter do you give the police so they will do it ?

show them your NOA2. Some will use NOA1 but we waited and didn't lose any time due to it.

My Fiance is going for her Police Check this week, but I have the original NOA2 in the states with me, I made a copy of the NOA2 for her, but she also has the Cover Letter from Packet #3

I hope that will good enough for her?

I'm still trying to figure out how my wife got it. She was living in Chiang Mai. She had some motorbike driver in Bangkok deal with it, and no issues at all. All she had to send was some photos.

Well I hoping for the NOA2 before I go to BKK on Aug 29, Then I will be with her when she goes for the police check.

Also I guess we need to get her birth cert and Name change Translated, so we will do that also when we are there. I think that is all I need to start down the CR1 with NVC. I think I have everything else done.
