Obama Daily Tracking Poll Again

Did the Dems start tracking Dubya's numbers so closely (by the week) this early in his first term? I seriously don't remember.

I don't think they had as of yet accepted the legitimacy of his Presidency this early.

Well, it was handed to him by his brother and some fancy lawyering. So there was at least some actual reason to question the legitimacy of his being in office. Unlike the nonsense the sour grapes on the right are chewing on - you know, the lunatics known as the birthers.

Didn't like Dubba all that much, but Al Gore? Inventor of the Internnets? Claims that the "AIR THAT I BREATH" is making me exhale Co2 which in turn makes me a polluter? I'll take Dubba.

Obama is drunk on his own image and power. He will devour himself along with PILLosi before he realizes his record sales have fallen off. Oh, and the birthers are lunitics , but the loonies on the right are not spending us into oblivion like the loonies on the left.

Really? Or do you just opt not to see the fiscal irresponsibility undertaken by the the folks on your side of the aisle. Funny as it may seem, the GOP has chosen to attack a 1tn health care overhaul but applauded the Bush tax cuts that came with a price tag that was almost twice as high - 1.8tn. And that's just the figure that applies to the measure if it is allowed to expire as scheduled. If it was made permanent, as many of the right loonies demanded, the price tag would have been at over 4tn over the next decade. Now, chew on that and then come back and talk to me about fiscal responsibility. Okay?

A tax cut is money the people get to keep. Running up deficits with borrowed money is a whole other ball game. I take the tax cuts any day. Besides, this health care bill is nothing but a boondoggle any way. And the "stimulus" bill was nothing more than a spending spree on the national credit card. It is hard to call either one responsible. Chew on that one.

A result of the tax cuts was the running up of deficits - remember that Bush and the GOP managed to double the federal debt during Bush's two terms. The health care bill is neither finalized nor passed yet. I watched Charlie Rose last night - an interesting discussion between Howard Dean and Bill Frist on the health care reform. They actually agreed on a lot of very fundamental issues on what needs to happen and if this sort of debate and thinking is what's going on in Congress committees today, then I would have some hope that we'll get somewhere with this health care issue that needs to get addressed.

As for the stimulus, we see a good bit of positive impact from it around here. Aside from construction projects that are gearing up, just the other night they talked on the news about the 400 some odd law enforcement officers that will be kept (jobs saved) or hired (jobs created) around here. There are numerous projects Florida gets to undertake that are funded with stimulus money. None of that would have happened without it and we'd be in a worse situation now than we actually are.

What is truly telling is the disinformation, constant droning against Obama, yet his numbers reflect as well as Reagan, who was liked and voted in by members of both parties...

And of course Reagan didn't have to contend with the daily blog circles, or Fox News, or all the other media we have now...

Even W's numbers were good the first two years of his Presidency. Like I've been saying since day one the initial numbers mean a lot less than the numbers near the end of a term.

Agreed - there's not much that can be drawn from poll numbers at this point, short of a sudden massive plunge (which hasn't happened).

As if anyone expected his popularity to remain static... Of course it was going to start going down once he assumed office. In itself that doesn't mean a whole lot.

No, they didn't. Only real sore losers do that kind of thing.

Plus they don't mention that once informed of the content of the parts where they doubt Obama as responsible for the Congressional back and forth, the numbers actually go up. Oh well.
