I've been browsing the topics here (and im learning a lot! thanks VJ people for sharing your experiences and advice). I'm glad i've found this forum :)

I have a question about the sputum test. Does everyone undergo sputum test? How would I know if i am a candidate? I've read that it will take around 2 months to get the result of sputum test? dang! thats a long wait!

Can anyone here share their experience/s on their medical exam? I'm kinda nervous kase, i just found out (during our APE) that I have hypertension (but im still in denial, hehe)..hope this will not be much of a problem.

Ang layo na ng narating ko! wala pa nga ako NOA2, medical na nasa isip ko! hahahah =)

Thanks! Thanks! (F)

Chill, sis! Don't fret too much about it.

Not everyone goes thru sputum test. I didn't go thru it. I guess you will only undergo it if you have a positive x ray result during the medical exam at SLEC.

The "killer" in the medical exam is the looooooooooong wait for it to finish. Long wait for your name to be called to have your vaccination, long wait for you number to be called in the physical exam etc.

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Stop worrying about it and go take it as soon as you get the NOA2 approval notice. You only need that and your MNL number to take it early.

My wife did it 1 1/2 months before her interview.

She did hers at 1 PM and was out in 3 hours. Beat the uninformed crowd that go at 4 AM and stand in long lines.
