So I am a military spouse who filed the I751 from Germany last August 2008. It is almost a year since I filed and I haven't heard anything not even a "touch". I have only received the NOA1 but that's it. We are almost going back to the U.S. very soon which could be on late October or November. My extension letter is due to expire on October 18, 2009. The US embassy here does not grant extension stamps. My dilemma here is - can I travel back to the US with an expired green card and expired extension letter? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!!
