Congrats Colleens for your EAD and Congrats Slider100 for your GC!!

I went to the Dallas ASC today. I told the guard i have been waiting for more than 90 days for my Biometrics appointment letter, she asked for my AOS and EAD first notice of action, she went into the manager's office... and she came back with an appointment letter!! Woohooo!!! She said they're gonna send me one by mail, but if i don't receive it, i can use the one i have in hand right now at the appointment and i'll be alright! So the appointment is november 17th, i wonder if i should attempt a walk-in.. i'll think about it. I still have a month before the appointment, but at least now i have the letter. I feel so much better! It's been 3 months since my NOA1...

01/12/2011: GreenCard approved!!!!

Green card expiration date: 01/05/2013
Sent ROC package to VSC: 11/16/2012
NOA1: 11/20/2012

I bet that your EAD is already approved as well and just waiting for your biometrics to be put on your card like mine was. If you are close to the office, I would give it a try. The worst they can say is no, and you come back in a few weeks.

Well, I got them email today saying the production of my EAD has been ordered. Hopefully that means everything else won't be far behind.

Guess I should start re-hashing my resume and start looking for some work. I was mostly just thinking of getting a part-time christmas job, just to have a little bit of money in my pocket as I plan to go back to BC in the new year for about a month to see my family and friends. Finding a full time job right away may hinder that.

Anyways.. yeah. A little bit of weight of my shoulders.

Nice! I haven't even started looking for work yet. I should really start with today's news. I mean, I'm not hard up for money, but it would be nice to have something for some pocket money and start helping out my husband in saving.

Still nothing. I'm beginning to think they lost my packet. I don't see how they could have lost it. I went to great lengths to make our packet personalized and stand out.

JUST got an email saying that my EAD has been approved and the notice is in the mail. Production was ordered a week ago, now I wait to actually get it in the mail. It's almost getting to be not worth getting a job here, though. Even if it's just a seasonal Xmas job. *sigh* I can't really get a car without a job and I can't get a driver's license without my GC.

I really hate feeling like I'm useless. :(

Boo an RFE. =( I bet it's for the medical, which is lame because that means they don't even follow their own policies for people who already got the medical through the K-1 Visa.

aww **...that sucks...i cannot believe how much wasted time this takes just to get a freaking RFE..what the hell is wrong with these ppl? RFE should be done within the first month of them getting our packet. Jerkoffs...

i hope it's not for the medical. although i did the same as you , just send a copy of the vaccination record and quoted their own dumb website stating i did not need a new medical..GRRRR can't even train their own employees better. ya know any other company in the world would not get buy with this shoddy setup. /sigh

If it's for the medical that would suck. I sent in a copy of the DS3025, along with a highlighted photocopy of their own instructions for the I-693 stating the procedures for K-1 Visa holders, and a cover letter explaining everything.

May it's for somethign else . . . I can't imagine what.

Hi everyone! Just wondering if an ASC office is the same as a CIS office? I looked up the closest office to me, and I'm just wondering if there's a way to be sure that that's where the biometrics appointment would be. Trying to think ahead since it looks like I might have to take a drive there to request a letter...

Ok, nevermind, found it!
