Well, we FINALLY found a local doctor who woulkd transcribe Duncan's vax sheet from his medical in TO back in March. I spoke to him on Friday night (yes, a Dr. working ona a FRIDAY NIGHT!!!) and then I called again yesterday afternoon to find out if we could just come in, and I spoke with THE Dr. again!!! He said we could come in at anytime, so we did. Here we are, $98 later, and we have the transcription in hand with the interview on Monday! I'm going to put togwether our list of what we're taking to the interview a little later, and will post it hoping some of you will have great insight (good or bad) as to what we're planning on taking next Monday.

Hey all....good luck on interviews!

I just got back from Thanksgiving in Toronto. It was nice to finally get back to see family.

I had to activate AP this morn to get back in, as my GC hadn't arrived before I left.

My hubby told me that my GC arrived yesterday....so FINALLY!!! I did it, did it all by myself and now I'm good till July 2011, when I gotta gear up once again lol...

Good luck all! :)

My check was just cashed!!! Yay!!

The number on the back that is stamped on there tho is MSC? the USCIS website for checking the case status doesnt list MSC? I tried it anyways and says my case cant be found.

er sorry again... triple post but it wouldnt let me edit my post..

The mail is from MO, my stuff is supposed to be in NE? anyone explain that one? heh.. MO is like 8-9 hours from here will I have to go there for biometrics and possible interview? seriously?

Curious as to why they sent it to MO and not NE where I live, they even have a USCIS office here and everything. My POE also put down NE as my destination for my packets and everything too and told me my interview etc would be in NE.

Hey Inky,

You number probably won't work on the website for a few weeks. Mine took a month to get into the online system, so don't worry too much about it :) I called them to make sure nothing was wrong, and they told me alot of the time it's takes awhile for someone to enter the case numbers into the online system (which is not the regular system, so you they do have it in there!)

And the MO thing is normal too, that's actually where my GC was issued and mailed from. Goodness knows why they send things to and from certain places, but I can assure you it's not too weird an occurance! :)

Grats on your cheque getting cashed!

Thanks, I really hope I dont have to go all the way out there.. 8-9 hour drive alone and no money to stay somewhere would really suck!

Well, I got home from spending the day visiting a museum since my wife was out of the house all day (she normally telecommutes, but had to go in to the office today)...and found my social security card and my interview notice.

So definitely feeling the anxiety level rise, but trying not to freak about the interview yet, since it's still more than a month away. I'm doing AOS from entering as a tourist.

(Also, looking forward to opening a bank account AT LAST, now that I have an SSN, and semi-looking forward to getting my learner's permit--not that I liked driving when I tried it back home in Ontario, but here in Virginia, it seems to be a necessity. The bus system in this city is TERRIBLE compared to Ottawa!)
