I am a US citizen and I filed I-130 for my wife on May 3rd, 2009. Haven't received NOA2 yet. I am planning a trip to India. I would like to know how much time I can spend there . After I receive NOA2, can I send documenst required thereafter from India ?. Or they need to be sent from US only?....Thanks

I guess you can spend as much time there as you'd like. As soon as you get your NOA-2 your case will be sent to NVC. When this happens you will want to follow the short cuts.

I am sure you can send them from India, it just may take longer to get to NVC and slow down your case.

April 29, 2013 - NOA1 for petition received

September 10, 2013 Interview - decision could not be made.

April 15, 2014 APPROVED. Wait for oath ceremony

Waited...

September 29, 2015 - sent letter to senator.

October 16, 2015 - US Citizen
