Guys

I did not receive my 10 year GC and when they are telling me that it may gotten lost in the mail and I need to file an I-90 form with the fees.

While looking into this mess, I found the following:

Receipt Number on I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence: WAC-XXXXXX131

Receipt Number on ASC Appointment Notice for Biometrics Test: WACXXXXX202

Receipt Number on Letter Received on 6/30/2009: WACXXXXX202

The File Number on Approval for Removal Conditions on Residence was: XXX-XXX-XXX

I am not sure why my Receipt Number changed from the original WAC-XXXXXX131 to WACXXXXX202. Is this correct? Can the WAC receipt number change for a case?. I am wondering if this is the cause of confusion. Wondering if they screwed up the number and sent the card to someone else.

Thanks in advance.

I've no idea why but that's the way USCIS does the I-751. The original WAC number given with the NOA1 is different than the one that comes with the biometric appointment letter. Use the second number when communicating with USCIS or checking status online.

The first number is basically worthless.

Thanks Haole for the clarification.

Now I will have to contact my congressman to sort out this issue.

We had a problem of a different nature with the I-751. Our senators immigration specialist "fixed" the problem.

Without her help I think the application would still be on hold.
