Hi everyone,

I am trying to fill out the form g 325a for my husband, but in the question "current husband r wife (if none, so state), Family name (for wife give the maiden name)" ... this question is in lane 4 of the form.. I am sooo confuseeddd....

Could somebodyy help me out here???

Also, my husband is a US citizen, so that means his citizenship is american, right???

You would put your name (since your married to him) and list your maiden name as it states.

Sure - put American :)

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

There is no such country called America. It is call The United States of America. He is an United States citizen. You put United States for his citizenship, not American.

Putting "American" is perfectly acceptable for US nationality.

That is what my civics teacher told me years ago, and a quick check on "about" backs it up. (in case my memory is rusty)

When immigrants want to become Americans, they must take a civics test as part of their naturalization interview before a Citizenship and Immigration Services (INS) officer.

I've been putting on all my US government paperwork since my US Navy days, no issues. :)
