Another RFE Question (not False)

We Received an RFE Recording (Documents Missing, etc.) on July 9 and today the date Changed to July 11. The operator told me today and yesterday they need part 2 of our DS230, which is sitting here on my desk. Can anyone tell me how long I should wait before asking them to resend the letter/Checklist? I would think an email would be generated instantly but it's been 7 days since the first letter was sent and we still do not have it. I cant send in the form without the bar code sheet. Any advice appreciated..Qiix

u can log in to the nvc page and print again the cover sheet and send the part 2 as soon as possible.

dont wait for them to tell u, u will waste time by waiting for nvc to send u check list.

make sure to send via fed ex

good luck

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

You can certainly ask them to resend it- don't know if they'll comply though. And also ask if they are able to send it to you rather than your lawyer again.

Definitely do not send anything in without a barcoded cover sheet- it will never make its way to your file. There was a shortcut for making your own coversheet here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry1338961 I haven't used it so I don't know if it works but the second page looks pretty similar to the other barcoded pages they create.

Also, if I remember correctly (can't get the form to open now- sorry), the DS-230 doesn't contain any original signatures- maybe they'd allow you to email a scanned copy without a barcode? Something to ask the operator.

Nice! Thanks all for the great information. I'm not sure I can use that download for a couple of reasons.

1. Form wants you to provide the date Announced on IVR. I have two dates. RFE's might be different.

First time I called (July 9 date)they said there was a note about my I-864 that my income was under poverty requirements. I am, but I have sufficient assets to cover that problem.

2. Now when I call they say it's just the DS230 and there is no problem with my I-864.

Guess I need to call a few more times and see if the operators are getting different answers.

3. On the address..I'm not sure who's they put, It might be me or it might be the lawyer.

It would still be nice to know how long it takes to get the RFE after they send it out. Is at a week? Two weeks? Longer? If anyone can share their experience for how long they waited for the letter that would be great.

Thanks again, good luck on your interview
