Hello Everyone.. My I-94 (k1) is expiring this July 23, do i need to renew this? how? Because when i went to DMV they did not

allow me to get a DL. They told me that i need my I-94 to be current or at least 2 months before the expiration.

I already sent my AOS July 3 and received NOA1 yesterday. What will i do to get a Driver's License here in CA? Also, what

will be my status then when my I-94 expired? Am I still legal to stay here?? Please help I am confused...

As long as you have proof that you applied for AOS then you are good. You just have to wait for your green card or EAD before you get your DL since they did not accept ur I-94..and no u dont have to renew it just let it expire..you are legal alien here once you have the proof of your AOS.

Since you applied for your aos, you are now classed as status pending. For ca (Los Angeles area) licences I read, you need documents of proof of residency good enough for 60 days for learner permit or 90 days if apply for full licence, the licence will expire the same time your document you provided as proof of legal residency does so you will have to go back and renew it again, once you get your ead card you can use that as proof of residency, also green card once you have it. Good luck. I will aslo be doing the same as soon as ead arrives. :)
